About:

Matt Niebuhr - Drawings is a collection of personal work exploring material qualities of graphite, ink, ink washes, acrylics and oil pastels... The drawings investigate different approaches to various subject content (not necessarily forming a narrative nor relating to each other in subject matter) representing a range of work from realistic depiction of form to more abstract formlessness. I'm most intrigued by the possibilities of the accumulation of simple lines.

You can see a more organized selection of my work at www.mattniebuhr.com

Matt Niebuhr is an artist living and working in Des Moines, Iowa. I established a studio practice pursuing personal work in the summer of 2012 named "West Branch Studio". In the Spring of 2013, I became a contributing artist and designer engaged in making public art with RDG Dahlquist Art Studio in Des Moines, Iowa. The works represented here are personal works, works on commission and public art projects associated with West Branch Studio.

These and other works are available for purchase online, or simply contact me for more information via email: niebuhr.matt [at] gmail.com
